Welcome Brian, I will try to answer the quesitons as best I can,

Q. Regarding the Hexanon lenses, are they coated, and if so is the coating
multi-coating or single-coating.?

Coated, most likely single coated.

Q. How are they regarded in respect of colour photography as compared
with B&W?

Excellent. The color reproduction is neutral, not warm like others and for
B&W contrast is exceptionally good.
If you had to gauge the lens and compare it, its results are very much like
a Zeiss lens. Neutral coloring and very good for B&W. You will be
pleasantly surprised when you see your results.
BTW, all the designs of the lenses are modifications of Zeiss lens designs.
Although the 135mm lens may be closer to a Heliar which is a Voigtlander
lens that Kodak copied to create their legendary Ektar lens for their early
medium format cameras.
