RE: Viewfinder coverage for 58/60mm lens?

I just remembered that somebody had used wax paper or a fresnel screen (?)
or something in place of the back, at the film plane, to see the image.
(similar to what a view camera does)

Subject: [KOML] Viewfinder coverage for 58/60mm lens?

My apologies if this posts twice. Originally sent from a different
computer.

This may be old news, so please excuse my dilapidated grey
cells in advance.

I recall reading somewhere that the full coverage of the
viewfinder built
into all KO cameras was about the same as that of the wide angle lenses.
That is, if one ignores frame lines and simply uses the edges
of the finder
itself, it shows what the 58/60mm lenses put on film . . .

Can anyone confirm or deny this based on direct experience?

I'm asking because a LOT of the wide angle lenses show up on
the used market
without the accessory viewfinder and IF the built in finder can
do the job,
it would be a major advantage.

TIA!/Scott Gardner
